Pedigree Day
31st May 2023
It was Pedigree Day and all the pupils got on the bus to experience country life. Pupils walked around the field enjoying the freedom of looking at horses, donkeys, alpacas and hens. There was a beehive there and we saw the busy bees making honey, we even spotted the queen bee and we saw new bees hatching from their eggs. It was fascinating. The sheep farmer put on a show for us on did a sheep shearing demonstration. In the tent we watched a lady spinning wool on a spinning wheel and we learned how she dyes the wool with natural plants like nettles! Lots of new experiences and hands on learning today! Thank you to Clonmel Museum.
