Welcome to our First School Newsletter of the Year.

We are all happy to be back in school after the summer.

Welcome our new SEN teacher Ms. Slattery.

A warm welcome to Darwin O’Donnell and Evelyn Boyle

They have both started in the Junior Room.

We wish Cannon Barbara Fryday a good retirement and we all thank her for her huge impact to the School

for the last sixteen years as

Chairperson of our Board of Management.

We will miss her visits for Assemblies every Wednesday morning when she shared her wise words

and stories with us.

A BIG thank you to Bernard for such great work in our

front garden which now includes the bark mulch pit and a racing car track.

We would greatly appreciate any donations of buckets, scoops/spades and toy vehicles in good condition.

We are all very happy to be back in the Junior Room.

We love playing in our new play area

at the front of the school. We are learning the months of the year in a song.

We are also learning ‘ceann, gualainn, glúin is cos’ in Irish and ‘Mr. Noah built an Ark’.

Anna and the girls built and decorated an amazing door out of branches and flowers for our outdoor ‘house’.

In Assembly, we discussed how the Olympic Motto

Faster – Higher – Stronger has added ‘Together’ as we all worked together to prevent the spread of covid..

We also completed a jigsaw in art with Ms. Slattery on our theme ‘Togetherness’.
