img_14791img_14971We made bees.

This week Mrs.Mannion brought in pine cones .We collected old leaves which we had to dry with a hair drier as it was a wet day.First we explored the structure of a bee. We learnt new words such as thorax , abdomen, anthennae ,proportion.Next we began to make bees using leaves for wings and winding yellow wool around the pine cone to represent the colour of a bee.Mrs. Mannion said we didn’t have to make our bees exactly like real bees we only had to give the impression of a real bee. The pictures show us at work and the finished products which we displayed on mobiles.
