This week Brigid helped us to create a notice board to display all that we have been and will be learning about biodiversity.
We decided to make a collage using the colours of the bee; black. yellow with some other colours too, to represent the variety of flowers from which the bee collects pollen and nectar. The Junior Class made the collage and the Senior Classroom cut out the letters and stuck on the pictures of bees.
Second Class made some hexacon shapes with lollipop sticks to represent the honeycomb.
During the week First and Second Class learnt a poem about our friend the bee.
BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ
This is the song of the bee
A jolly good fellow is he
In the days that are sunny
He’s making his honey
Then it’s put in a jar just for me!
